The No.1 Shoe Shop is a family owned and operated company that specializes in athletic, casual and dress shoe retailing and repair.

Founded in 1976 by teachers Karen and Ishmael Goddard, The No.1 Shoe Shop originally traded in a 600 square foot rented space in a small shopping complex called McDonald Square on the outskirts of central George Town.

In keeping with its motto “Where you get the Best for Less”, The No.1 Shoe Shop quickly established a reputation for quality service, quality products, convenient location and reasonable prices helping the company consistently grow from strength to strength.
